Random 

Golden Tickets, $1,000 each
  • Golden tickets are drawn every hour from nonprofits receiving donations during that hour: $1,000/hour. Nonprofits can only win one golden ticket.
Random Prizes
  • 1,929th donation: A prize to the organization receiving the 1,929th donation funded by The Dallas Foundation in honor of the year of its founding: $7,500
  • 20,016th donation: A prize to the organization receiving the 20,016th donation funded by The Dallas Foundation: $7,500

Cause-Related

Women/Girl Focused Prizes
To be eligible for these prizes, 75% of your programs must serve women, and you must be a grantee of the Dallas Women's Foundation. 

  • 1st Prize most donors in Small category (budget under $250,000): $4,000
  • 2nd Prize most donors in Small category (budget under $250,000): $2,000
  • 1st Prize most donors in Medium category (budget $250,000-$999,999): $4,000
  • 2nd Prize most donors in Medium category (budget under $250,000-$999,999): $2,000
  • Most donors (Collin County nonprofit): $4,000
  • Most donors (Denton County nonprofit): $4,000

Youth and Arts & Culture Focused Prizes
Selected organizations that are in both the Youth Category and the Arts & Culture category are eligible for these prizes, funded by Neiman Marcus. Eligible organizations must be in either Dallas, Tarrant or Collin county. View the list of eligible nonprofits.

  • $2,000 for the most unique donors in the Small category (budget under $250,000)
  • $3,000 to the organization with the most unique donors in the Medium category (budget $250,000-$999,999)
  • $5,000 to the organization with the most unique donors in the Large category (budget $1 million+)

 

Must Apply To Be Eligible

Best Overall Integrated Marketing Campaign
  • Best integrated marketing campaign for the North Texas Giving Day event (potentially integrating video, special events, social media and any other communication vehicles): 1st place: $5,000, 2nd place: $2,500. This is a two-part deadline. You MUST have submitted Step One of the application by September 08 to be eligible. The second deadline will be Sept. 22 and the submission form link will be sent to those that complete round one of the application by the September 08 deadline. $2,500
    The PDF for Step One will be posted in June. 
    Step Two will be sent by email in September. 

Best Business-Nonprofit Partnership 
  • Nonprofit with the best partnership with a for-profit business to raise money during North Texas Giving Day: $1,250. This is a two-part deadline. You MUST have submitted Step One of the application by September 08 to be eligible. The second deadline is Sept. 22 and the submission form link was sent to those that completed round one of the application by the September 08 deadline.  $1,250
    The PDF for Step One will be posted in June. 
    Step Two will be sent by email in September. 

Geographic Location of your Nonpofit

Arlington County Prizes: $40,000
**To be eligible for these prizes your agency address must be in Arlington and you must be on this approved list. These organizations meet the grant eligibility criteria.
  • Two $5,000 prizes awarded in a drawing of nonprofits present at the Arlington Gives! Concert at Levitt Pavilion. (view eligible organizations) Must be present to win.
  • The Arlington Tomorrow Foundation will be awarding 4 prizes of $5,000 each to the Arlington-based organizations on this approved list, and which receive the most unique donations during the following four time blocks: 6–10 AM; 10 AM – 2 PM; 2 PM – 7 PM; 7 PM – Midnight 
  • $10,000 prize awarded to the registered, qualified (view eligible organizations) organization winning the vote for "People's Choice Award."  Votes will be tallied at the Arlington Gives! Concert and the winner will be announced at 9:30pm the concert at Levitt Pavilion. Nonprofits do not have to be present to win. Prize sponsored by the Gene and Jerry Jones Family Arlington Youth Foundation. 
Tarrant County Prizes: $10,000
Nonprofits with their main county listed as Tarrant County in their Giving Day profile are eligible for these prizes. Four $2,500 prizes will be awarded at the Fort Worth Sundance Square Event. Nonprofits must check in, and must be present (and eligible) to win. 

Denton County Prizes: $1,000
Four $250 prizes will be awarded at the Denton County Event on the square to participating nonprofits in the Denton County Event. 

Collin County Prizes: $3,000

  • $1,500         Random Drawings (3 at $500 each) from among nonprofits participating in the Collin County Donation Station event.
  • $500            Prizes for the small, medium and large Collin county nonprofits with the most donors at the end of Giving Day

Event

NorthPark Center - Dallas County Event: $1953

  • Six prizes will be drawn at NorthPark Center on September 22 (between 11am - 2pm)
  • A $1,953 prize, four $50 gift cards to The Theodore and a Microsoft tablet will be awarded through separate drawings. Nonprofits must be registered for North Texas Giving Day and present at the drawings to win. A nonprofit representative must sign-in at the Nonprofit Registration table at the North Court between Nordstrom & Macy's at NorthPark Center before the drawing to be eligible.
  • There will be 2 drawing times: Two gift cards will be drawn at approximately 11:55am, and the $1953 prize and two additional gift cards will be drawn at approximately 1:30pm. 
  • The winning nonprofits must be registered for North Texas Giving Day and your nonprofit representative must be present to win. Each person can only represent one organization. 

 

Other

Raised Your Own Matching Funds Prize

  • If you raised your own matching funds, your organization is eligible for a $2,500 prize awarded at random from all nonprofits who secured their own matching dollars outside Giving Day Bonus Funds.  

CFT Fund Holder Drawing

  • There will be a random drawing from all online submissions of CFT donor-advised fund grants for Giving Day. The winning nonprofit will receive a $1,000 prize.

Reunion Tower Light Show

  • Random drawing from Communities Foundation of Texas' 2016-2017 Giving Guide to receive a free light show on the Reunion Tower Ball. Nonprofit must be approved for North Texas Giving Day to be eligible. 

Social Media

Most Re-Tweets
A $1,000 prize will be awarded to the nonprofit that, using hashtag #NTXGivingDay, is able to secure the most re-tweets on a single tweet sent out between Monday, Sept. 19 and Thursday, Sept. 22. To be eligible, you must email us at communications@cftexas.org with a link to your tweet, and include the number of retweets. You MUST send the email with a link to your tweet by 10:00am on Friday, Sept. 23. Only tweets that originate from your nonprofit organization's Twitter account will be eligible for this prize.
