North Texas Giving Day has approximately 90 prizes for participating nonprofit organizations totaling more than $200K!

Random 

Golden Tickets, $1,000 each
  • Golden tickets are drawn every hour from nonprofits receiving donations of $25 and more during that hour: $1,000/hour. Nonprofits can only win one golden ticket.
  • Scheduled Gifts Golden Ticket – this year we will include a golden ticket prize that includes all nonprofits who received gifts of $25 and larger scheduled between 8:00am on September 7 through midnight on September 13.
Landmark Year Prizes - Sponsored by The Dallas Foundation
  • 1,929th donation:A prize to the organization receiving the 1,929th donation funded by The Dallas Foundation in honor of the year of its founding: $7,500
  • 20,017th donation:A prize to the organization receiving the 20,017th donation funded by The Dallas Foundation: $7,500

Raised Your Own Matching Funds Prize

  • If you raised your own matching funds, your organization is eligible for a $2,500 prize awarded at random from all nonprofits who secured their own matching dollars.  

Karen's Prize

  • There will be a random drawing from all North Texas Giving Day kickoff and training registrants. The lucky name drawn will win $2,500 for their associated nonprofit organization. This prize is in memory of Karen Gutierrez who was instrumental to the success of North Texas Giving Day.

The Big Spender Prize 

  • All donors of MORE than $10,000 will be entered into a random drawing for The Big Spender prize -- $5,000 – for their selected nonprofit and lunch with CFT’s President and CEO, Dave Scullin.

CFT Fund Holder Early Bird Drawing

  • There will be a random drawing from online submissions received by September 11 of CFT donor-advised fund grants for Giving Day. The winning nonprofit will receive a $1,000 prize.

Women/Girl Focused Prizes - Sponsored by the Dallas Women's Foundation

In order to be eligible for these prizes, participating nonprofits must meet the Dallas Women’s Foundation eligibility criteria.

  • 1st Prize most donors in Small category (budget under $250,000):$4,000
  • 2nd Prize most donors in Small category (budget under $250,000):$2,000
  • 1st Prize most donors in Medium category (budget $250,000-$999,999):$4,000
  • 2nd Prize most donors in Medium category (budget under $250,000-$999,999):$2,000
  • Most donors (Collin County nonprofit): $4,000
  • Most donors (Denton County nonprofit): $4,000

Must Apply To Be Eligible

Best Overall Integrated Marketing Campaign
  • Best integrated marketing campaign for the North Texas Giving Day event (potentially integrating video, special events, social media and any other communication vehicles): 1st place: $5,000, 2nd place: $2,500. This is a two-part deadline. You MUST have submitted Step One of the application by September 8 to be eligible.The second deadline will be September 22 and the submission form link will be sent to those that complete round one of the application by the September 8 deadline.
    Step One was posted in June. Step Two will be sent by email in September. 
Best Business-Nonprofit Partnership 
  • Nonprofit with the best partnership with a for-profit business to raise money during North Texas Giving Day: $1,250. This is a two-part deadline. You MUST have submitted Step One of the application by September 8 to be eligible. The second deadline is September 22 and the submission form link will be submitted to those that completed round one of the application by the September 8 deadline.  $1,250. Step One was posted in June.  Step Two will be sent by email in September. 



Geographic Location of your Nonpofit

Arlington County Prizes: $40,000

To be eligible for the following prizes your agency must be based in Arlington and you must meet The Arlington Tomorrow Foundation grant eligibility criteria.

  • Two $5,000 prizes awarded in a drawing of nonprofits present at the Arlington Gives! Concert at Levitt Pavilion. Must be present to win.
  • The Arlington Tomorrow Foundation will be awarding 4 prizes of $5,000 each to the Arlington-based organizations approved and which receive the most unique donations during the following four time blocks: 6–10 AM; 10 AM – 2 PM (Schools only); 2 PM – 7 PM; 7 PM – Midnight 
  • $10,000 prize awarded to the registered, qualified organization winning the vote for "People's Choice Award."  Votes will be tallied at the Arlington Gives!Concert and the winner will be announced at 9:30pm the concert at Levitt Pavilion. Nonprofits do not have to be present to win. Prize sponsored by the Gene and Jerry Jones Family Arlington Youth Foundation. 

Tarrant County Prizes: $10,000

Nonprofits with their main county listed as Tarrant County in their Giving Day profile are eligible for these prizes. $10,000 in prizes will be awarded to eligible nonprofits at the Philanthro-Party at the Sundance Square Plaza on September 14 from 8:00-9:00am. Nonprofits must check in and be present in the Square to win.

Denton County Prizes: $1,000

Five randomly drawn $200 prizes will be awarded at the Denton County Event on the square to participating nonprofits in the Denton County Event. 

Collin County Prizes: $3,000

$1,500 in Random Drawings (3 at $500 each) from among nonprofits participating in the Collin County Donation Station event – Prizes sponsored by Vector Systems

  • #1 Random Drawing at Finch Park -- $500 – Sponsored by Vector Systems
  • #2 Random Drawing at Finch Park -- $500 – Sponsored by Vector Systems
  • #3 Random Drawing at Finch Park -- $500 – Sponsored by Vector Systems

$1,000 divided among nonprofits with most donors at the end of Giving Day

  • A total of $1,000 in prizes will be divided between the small, medium and large Collin county nonprofits with the most donors at the end of Giving Day

Event

NorthPark Center - Dallas County Event:

  • Prizes will be awarded through separate drawings at NorthPark Center on September 14 (between 11am - 2pm) including:

    • The CFT Trustee prize in the amount of $1,953 in honor of the founding year of Communities Foundation of Texas
    • A Microsoft Surface Pro
    • A gift certificate for an award-winning cake from La Duni

    Nonprofits must be registered for North Texas Giving Day and present at the drawings to win. A nonprofit representative must sign-in at the Nonprofit Registration table at the North Court between Nordstrom & Macy's at NorthPark Center. Each person can only represent one organization.

Social Media

Most Re-Tweets
A $1,000 prize will be awarded to the nonprofit that, using hashtag #NTXGivingDay, is able to secure the most re-tweets on a single tweet about North Texas Giving Day sent out between Thursday, September 7 and Thursday, September 14. To be eligible, you must email us at communications@cftexas.org with a link to your tweet, and include the number of retweets by 10:00am on Friday, September 15. Only tweets that originate from your nonprofit organization's Twitter account will be eligible for this prize. 

Other

Reunion Tower Light Show 

A free light show on the Reunion Tower Ball will be awarded to the Giving Guide nonprofit participant who receives the most donations between 8:00pm and midnight on North Texas Giving Day. Eligible nonprofit organizations must be listed in the CFT Giving Guide and registered and approved for North Texas Giving Day.

Nonprofit Board Teambuilding Prize - Sponsored by TRG

Nonprofits have the opportunity to win a private, customizable, half-day teambuilding event for their board of directors. The winning nonprofit will have the opportunity to train with veterans of Special Ops, Navy Seals, law enforcement, and the intelligence communities while learning the mentality, cooperation and relevant skills for life’s most realistic tasks!  Additional details forthcoming!
