Is my nonprofit eligible for North Texas Giving Day?

To participate in North Texas Giving Day, a nonprofit must: 

  • Have a physical location/mailing address in one of these 20 counties: 
    1. Collin
    2. Cooke
    3. Dallas
    4. Denton
    5. Ellis
    6. Erath
    7. Fannin
    8. Grayson
    9. Hood
    10. Hunt
    11. Johnson
    12. Kaufman
    13. Montague
    14. Navarro
    15. Palo Pinto
    16. Parker
    17. Rockwall
    18. Somervell
    19. Tarrant
    20. Wise
  • Acknowledge that 100% of proceeds raised through North Texas Giving Day will go directly towards the organization’s North Texas program/service/community in the counties listed above
  • Be in good standing with the state and the IRS and not be in violation of any applicable state or federal law, ordinance or regulation
  • Have a completed North Texas Giving Day Profile

*509(a)(3) organizations must provide additional documentation in order to be considered for participation in North Texas Giving Day

The following organizations are Not Eligible:

  • Private Foundations (Operating and Non-Operating)
  • Foreign Organizations
  • Individuals
  • Disqualified Supporting Organizations
  • 509(a)(3) Type III - Non-functionally Integrated

Please note: 

  • Each nonprofit's page will include a link to their Guidestar profile to provide donors with more detailed information on the organization's mission and use of its charitable dollars.
  • Approval of an organization's participation in North Texas Giving Day does not constitute an express or implied endorsement by Communities Foundation of Texas or any other Giving Day partner of a nonprofit or its mission.
  • This list aligns with the North Texas region as defined by the North Texas Central Council of Governments, as well as the four counties to the North just below the Red River.
